It's 2026!

Another year has come and gone.  For many it's been a year fraught with uncertainty and fear.  For others it's been one of blessings and hope.  Whatever your last year was like it's time to look forward to the new year -  2026.

When the new year comes I always have lots of goals I think I should be able to achieve.  The number one (always) is losing weight and getting healthy.  Creating new eating habits is not as easy as it sounds.  But now that we are empty nesters I can control what groceries I buy and what meals I cook.  It will be so much easier to simplify.  As you might know this blog is a food/travel blog, there will be lots of opportunities to create healthier recipes.  Along with discovering new, local places to travel to.

Another goal I have is to give this blog the attention it deserves and to grow it.  You may or may not know that I had a blog called From My Corner of Saratoga several years ago.  I grew that blog to almost a million page views.  Granted at that time blogs were a lot more popular back then.  I think there is still a market for blogs although it's going to be harder to find opportunities.  But that won't stop me from trying.

But of course the blog won't be my only focus for the new year.  I still have some healing to do from the knee surgery.  Not to mention that I might have to get the other knee replaced - and I'm not sure I want to do that!

The weather here in the Midwest has been unusually mild.  It makes me want to get out there and travel...  We might start out by visiting some sites here, closer to home and work our way across the state.  I never been out West -- that would be an adventure I look forward to.

As the days go by I hope to get closer and closer to a goal.  Do you have goals that you set at the first of the year?  Let me know if in the comments.  And be sure to follow -- It's FREE!
